DEFEAT Alec “Bad News” Brook-Krasny

Brooklyn: assemblyman Alec Brook-Krasny is “Bad News” for brooklyn.

Bad News Brook-Krasny failed to support key environmental and public health bills with remarkable consistency, scoring a paltry 22% on NYLCV’s 2024 Scorecard – the worst record in all of Brooklyn!

Despite bipartisan support, Bad News Brook-Krasny  refused to support bipartisan legislation that would have made a real difference for public health in our community:

  • A bill that would have protected women’s health by banning the use of dangerous and toxic chemicals like PFAS – a.k.a. “forever chemicals” – in women’s healthcare. At a time when women’s health is under attack, New York should be standing up to protect women, not leaving them vulnerable to environmental and health risks. When women across Brooklyn were looking for his support, Bad News Brook-Krasny was nowhere to be found.
  • A bill that would have made the number and location of lead pipes easily accessible to the public. The bill had Democratic and Republican support and was not a partisan bill  – but Bad News Brook-Krasny couldn’t help himself: he voted against it. Either he doesn’t think it’s worth it to find out where lead pipes may be hiding in our community, or he doesn’t think the public has a right to know. Either way, he’s putting our community at risk.

Brooklyn deserves good news in the fight  for the health and safety of our community. On or before Election Day, say no to another term for Alec “Bad News” Brook-Krasny.

Applications must be received by a board of elections no later than October 26, 2024 to be eligible to vote in the General Election.
